Poultry Seasoning; homemade from scratch. Control your sodium intake with this easy to assemble all purpose made from scratch Poultry Seasoning, it’s delicious and can be used to season any dish using Chicken or Turkey.
Great on Roasted Chicken or Turkey, but also excellent for use in skillet dishes, soups and so much more. It’s versatile, and enhances the flavours of poultry without being over powering.
Making homemade seasoning from scratch is something I’ve been doing for quite a long time. It started with the basics like Taco Seasoning, so I could control the sodium and heat, Dry Ranch Dressing because again I wanted less salt and a extra dill. Making seasoning mixes from scratch has so many benefits and honestly takes very little time.
For me the most valuable reason is to control the flavour, you can add in or eliminate seasonings to suit your family. Second, it’s cheaper, much cheaper, if you shop at a bulk spice store and you can make what you need, not having to purchase a whole big jar of a seasoning mix you rarely use. Still need more reasons to make it from scratch? Many people are avoiding Gluten, or MSG, or both and those specialty mixes can be hard to find so homemade is the way to go.
My top three used and requested Spice Mix recipes are one’s I always have on hand. Take a look and don’t forget to pin them for later!
