Can’t Miss Breakfast Muffins!  A muffin has the ability to instantly uplift that hectic morning mood. There is nothing like a great breakfast muffin, whether it is sweet or savory. They make great mornings or snack time so easy and delicious. I often find myself checking with my family  for flavor preferences on the weekends so I can have a fresh batch on hand throughout the week. Another easy option is just thinking about what  fruits are currently in season.

I have found that there are a couple underrated keys to every great muffin, first one is have a  fantastic muffin tin. The second one is, for goodness sake stop over mixing the batter! You want muffin batter to be a little rough with some lumps of butter to keep them moist. Muffin recipes are a dime a dozen but truly great muffins are hard to find. Here are my top ten absolute favorite baked breakfast muffins.

Ten Can’t Miss Muffins

Magical Whole Wheat Banana Muffins with Walnuts

All I can say at first is, “Oh Yum!” These are amazing muffins with so many ingredients I love. The oats, banana, hint of cinnamon and walnuts makes my day every time I eat one. The crunch you get from the chopped walnuts is what makes the Magical Whole Wheat Banana Muffins so special. Texture is so important to a good muffin and this one is perfect.

One Bowl Carrot Apple Muffins

These One Bowl Carrot Apple Muffins turned out to be both healthy and delicious. Mix together some of nature’s favorite sweeteners, apples and bananas. These muffins are on the sweeter side but its all natural so you can leave the guilt behind.  One knock on baking is how messy it can get, this recipe calls for just what its name reflects, one bowl.

Ultimate Chocolate Chip Muffins

Chocolate chip anything is alway a family favorite so these had to be on the list. The Ultimate Chocolate Chip Muffins is great because of its versatility. You can easily call it a breakfast muffin but everyone would be just as happy to nipple on one as an after dinner treat. As with all things chocolate chip the key is serving these while they are warm. Out of the oven is best but if you’ll be making them ahead of time us a good liner to lock in moisture.

Lemon and Coconut Muffins

I love trying a variety of muffins in different flavors and this Lemon and Coconut Muffins did not disappoint in the least. Coconut is one of those ingredients people either hate or love with not too much middle ground.I am firmly in the cant get enough of it camp. In my opinion, fresh lemon juice and zest with fresh grated coconut could never taste bad together. These lemon and coconut muffins have the right balance of sweetness for a breakfast muffin.

Bacon and Egg Breakfast Muffins

A quirky twist on a classic bacon and egg sandwich. We love these on those chilly mornings. It has a whole egg inside the muffin which makes them really hearty. The Bacon and Egg Breakfast Muffin is just the savory breakfast muffin option  I was looking for. They will last about four days when stored in the fridge because of the egg.

Apple Pie Muffins with Streusel Topping

These are simple to make and with the combination of cinnamon and apples your house will smell amazing.  The Apple Pie Muffins with Streusel Topping have to be added into your fall baking schedule. The streusel topping with literally melt in your mouth.

Best Blueberry Muffins

You can’t make muffins and skip the blueberry muffin recipe because it is a classic. This recipe turns the blueberries into a jam before adding it to the batter. Doing it this way means your getting that blueberry flavor in every bite. They do add in some fresh blueberries but they can be left out if you prefer a smoother texture.

Cranberry Orange Muffins

The Cranberry Orange Muffins are a favorite tradition in my family especially around the holidays. However these muffins are so good they could easily find their way into the regular rotation. These muffins also bake up to have to most perfect fluffy toppers. They are also super moist which is a good way to win over someone who isn’t typically a muffin lover.

Savory Veggie Corn Cheese Muffins

For the savory fans in the crowd, here it is another savory muffin with fresh corn, pepper bits and coriander. These Veggie Corn Cheese Muffins are literally exploding with flavor. One thing that I really love about these is they warm up really well.

Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Muffins

The Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Muffins are exactly what you’d expect from a hearty breakfast muffin. They are not overly sweet but pack in a bunch of flavor. They have just the right amount of spice to be great without a glaze. This is the ultimate breakfast muffin in our house.
